Bush Jacket (short & long sleeve)

There have been many versions of the four-pocket safari/bush jacket, but ours is a true classic! Since the 1930s, the bush jacket has been the favorite of adventurers, explorers, hunters and outdoorsmen. It was also worn by Hollywood legends in a number of classic motion pictures. The jacket's design is as functional as it is stylish, and we offer ours in both long and short sleeve versions. Our jacket is both water and abrasion resistant and features two large chest pockets and two lower bellowed cargo pockets to carry all your gear. The button epaulets allow you to securely sling a bag, camera, or pair of binoculars over your shoulder, and the long sleeve version has button-cuffs which can be rolled-up or worn down for full protection. The jacket also features a removeable waist belt, and a bi-swing back for unrestricted freedom of movement. This is one of those timeless pieces of clothing that transcends the fickle trends of fashion and will keep you looking good well into the new millennium.
Note: to prevent excessive shrinkage, the jacket should not be placed in a dryer. Drip-dry only.

It features a shell made from ultra luxurious & lightweight New Zealand lambskin, a truly upscale leather that is noticeably lighter than goatskin and considerably lighter than cowhide (comparison: our Lightweight Antique Lambskin Hero Jacket in size Medium weighs just 2.25 lbs; our Goatskin Indy-style Jacket in size Medium weighs 4.35 lbs). In fact, you really must wear this jacket to fully appreciate just how supple and lightweight it is! The jacket is hand-aged to achieve its distinctive antiqued finish, resulting in subtle color variations throughout, so no two jackets will look exactly alike.
All the classic Indy jacket features are here, including two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, one interior pocket, a windflap over an antiqued brass zipper, pleated back panel for freedom of movement, side-adjustment straps, plain cuffs & bottom, and a nylon lining.
